From the 1^st of April 2025, independent GPs consulting at EBMC will apply a surcharge fee to EFTPOS transactions.

This adjustment is necessary due to increased payment processing costs, which are set by the bank.

The following surcharges will be applied:

• 0.9% on all CREDIT card charges
• 0.6% on all DEBIT card charges
• 0.3% on all EFTPOS (i.e., cheque or savings) card charges

Please note that this surcharge is not greater than the cost of acceptance and will be regularly reviewed.
