DR ANGELA RUTHERFORD

Dr Angela Rutherford studied medicine at the University of Melbourne, after a first career in biological sciences.  She established the East Brunswick Medical Centre in April 1988. She sees patients of all ages, with special interests in medical care of women before, during and after pregnancy, and of women through the mid-life transition.

Angela has contributed to boards, committees and conferences of the National Health and Medical Research Council, the National Breast Cancer Centre, Breast screen Victoria, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and the Melbourne Division of General Practice. She has published articles in the Australian Family Physician, and book reviews in the Medical Journal of Australia. She is currently Chair of the Melbourne General Practice Network.

Angela values a balance between work, family and recreation, and enjoys holidays, travelling in Australia and overseas.

Dr Rutherford is available for consultations by appointment at the medical centre Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
