DR HUBERT VAN DOORN Dr Hubert van Doorn joined the East Brunswick Medical team in 1990, two years after the practice was established. At that point he had been practicing for ten years in NSW and the ACT. In 1984 he obtained a Royal Australian College of GP’s Travelling Fellowship and studied counselling and family therapy at the Family Institute in Cardiff, Wales. Subsequent to that he has held academic positions contributing to the RACGP and the University Of Melbourne Department Of Community Medicine. From 1993 -1998 he was the Co-ordinator of General Practice Education at the Royal Children's Hospital. His practice has been built around the premise of providing "continuing and comprehensive care." Areas of focus in his general practice are paediatrics, men's health, preventive care and mental health. His interest in managing patients with depression and anxiety in general practice has led him to take on a Fellowship with the Department of General Practice at the University of Melbourne in 2007. Dr van Doorn is available for consultation Monday to Thursday. Consultations are by appointment. |
